This is a Press Release I've just received from the IGFA regarding this year's on-line auction. One point to bear in mind though, even though they state 20 to 25% of on-line bids, the 'closing' bid from the on-line auction becomes, in effect, the opening bid from those attending the banquet on 27th January. So, although submiting the highest bid in the on-line phase of the auction, you can subsequently get out-bid.
Here's the link - http://igfa.quillsite.com/ - for the on-line auction which becomes active on Friday, 4pm EST.

IGFA INTERNATIONAL AUCTION & BANQUET
WILL GO LIVE ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 4TH AT 4 PM
The online auction is being run in conjunction with the 28th Annual IGFA International Auction & Banquet at IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame & Museum on Friday, January 27, 2012. All bids are in U.S. dollars. Bids will not be accepted without a valid credit card number and expiration date, name, address, email and contact number. The online portion of the auction ends at 9:00 a.m. EST on January 23, 2012. The highest bid on each item will be the starting bid at our silent auction the night of the event. All online winners* will be notified by 5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2012 and are responsible for shipping charges. IGFA reserves the right to amend the description of an item or withdraw any item from the online auction prior to the end of the auction. Bids may be withdrawn on any item where the description or offering has been changed by IGFA.
*20 - 25% of the online bids were the winning bids for the past six years.
