The bite continues to be over the Gordo Banks and the 1150 Spot. The east and southeast winds are pushing warmer blue water towards Lands End along with a strong current out of the east.

All of the action is East of Cabo over the Iman and Gordo Banks and the 1150 Spot.

July 13th. proved to be a great day for Lance Dobbins and his wife aboard our fast 32’ Cabo Express “Picante Express” with Captain Emilio Arenas at

the controls. They released a Striped Marlin and boated a Dorado and then Captain Emilio found the porpoise and they limited out on Yellowfin

Tuna. Cabo fishing at it’s best !!! Fleet production was 4 Striped Marlin, 32 Yellowfin Tuna and 1Dorado.

They too released a Striped Marlin and boated a Dorado and limited out on Yellowfin Yuna aboard the “Picante Express” with Captain Antonio “Nino” Romero at the helm. Total fleet production was 3 Striped Marlin (released) 22 Yellowfin Tuna and 3 Dorado.

With the first of Cabo’s 2011 Tournaments set to kick off next week on the East Cape, teams are already assembling in Cabo to prefish the event and hone their skills. TEAM CALIENTE came to town to fish their great 40’ Cabo Flybridge “CALIENTE” with Captain Jaime “The Hook” Gonzalez at the

controls. They ended the day releasing 2 Striped Marlin and boating 2 Dorado. Best of luck to all that entered the event. Fleet production 4 Striped

This week was unusual as the Striped Marlin bite shifted to the Gordo Banks after weeks on the Pacific side and we lost a day of fishing because of a Port closure due to the tsunami warning….which never materialized……

With few boats clearing the inlet it’s good to see our guys still able to find the fish. On March 9th. Don Andersen and his friends spent the day aboard our fast 35’ Cabo Express “SALSA” with Captain Juan Carlos “Brincos” Lopez at the helm. After finding the school of porpoise they boated 12 Yellowfin Tuna to

March 13th. proved to be a world class day for the charter aboard our 35’ Cabo Express “CISCO” with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez at the helm and

We’ll update the report each week.

Old friends and Corporate groups kept our guys busy this week. The Striped Marlin fishing remains spotty although by weeks end all the boats were

having multiple shots at these hard fighting fish.

On March 1st. our old friend Neil Connor booked our fast 32’ Cabo Express “Picante Express” with Captain Antonio “Nino” Romero at the helm. The day started out kind of strange. Neil and his lady friend are normally the first ones to the dock in the morning and we were beginning to get a bit concerned as the 8:00 hour rolled around and still no sign of Neil. Our guys waited and a bit after 9:00 am Neil strolled into the office. A few years ago Neil built a home on the Pacific side of the peninsula and bought a truck to provide transportation while he is in Cabo. Seems they had a flat tire on their truck and changed the tire to head to town. Before hitting the pavement the spare was flat also. So they were able to flag

down a ride to the local tire store and waited for them to open. With 2 repaired tires in tow they again hitched a ride back to the truck to get back on the road. Although arriving late they are still our boat of the day boating12 nice Yellowfin Tuna. Great to have you back in Cabo Neil !!! Total fleet production was 23 Yellowfin Tuna,18 Sierra Mackerel, 5 Yellowtail & 1 Shark.

Corporate travel continues to award their clients and top employees with trips to our desert paradise here at Lands End. The folks from Careerbuilder booked several days with our fleet and on March 2nd. they were our boat of the day. Fishing aboard our 32’ Cabo Express “Picante Express” they released a Striped Marlin and boated 12 Yellowfin Tuna. Total fleet production was 4 Striped Marlin & 49 Yellowfin Tuna.

March 4th. again was a great day for the Careerbuilder group fishing aboard our 35’ Cabo Express “CISCO” with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez at the controls. On

this day the group released 3 Striped Marlin. Total fleet production was 9 Striped Marlin & 12 YellowfinTuna.

Old friend Craig Miller and his gang fished aboard our great 45’ Cabo Express “CHAOS” with Captain Ivan Gomez at the controls on March 6th. The Striped

Marlin continue to keep our clients smiling and on this day Craig and his friends released 2 Striped Marlin. Total fleet production was 7 Striped Marlin, 2 Mako

    Shark & 13 Yellowfin Tuna

With “El Nino” conditions here on the Pacific Ocean the water temperature charts are providing a marbled effect and the fish seem to moving at will with the shifts in temperature. Unusual catches for this time of year are causing us all to scratch our heads in wonder.

Marlin, 1 Pacific Sailfish, 18 Roosterfish and 54 Yellowfin Tuna.

A mixed bag is the best way to describe the action last week. With Striped Marlin and Yellowfin Tuna providing the action offshore and Yellowtail and Sierra Mackerel bending rods inshore, our clients had a lot to smile about.

On January 11th. the folks from United Brands Group spent the day on our great 35’ Cabo Flybridge “Picante Dream” with Captain Pablo “Palin” Cesena at the helm and deckhand Captain David working the cockpit. The guys found the porpoise and the Yellowfin Tuna did not disappoint. They were able to boat 11 of these hard fighting and great

tasting fish along with releasing a nice Striped Marlin.

Stephen Putney and his family chartered our 29’ Blackfin “Picante 29” to see if they could find the fish. Captain Alex Collins and deckhand “Charro” tossed bait to many Striped Marlin and finally found a hungry fish on January 12th. They also boated 2 nice Yellowfin Tuna that were

enjoyed by the Putneys at a local restaurant. Nothing better than fresh tuna sushi.

Walk ins are always welcome here at Picante and on January 13th. These folks had a lot of fun releasing their first 2 Striped Marlin. This won’t be their last trip to our desert paradise here at Lands End.

We’ll update the report each week.

With the holidays behind us the number of boats clearing the Cabo inlet has dropped substantially. The action continues on the Pacific side of the peninsula with Yellowfin Tuna providing most of the offshore action and Sierra Mackerel and Red Snapper being targeted

close to the beach. Although lots of Striped Marlin are being spotted it’s still tough to get these hard fighting fish to take a bait.

On January 5th. Captain Antonio “Nino” Romero and deckhand Luis showed our client Mr. Tudhopeand his family a great day releasing a Striped Marlin and 2 Amberjacks along with boating 2 Yellowfin Tuna that were enjoyed at a local restaurant during their stay in our sleepy fishing village.

On January 7th. our crews again found the fish and our boat of the day is our fast 35’ Cabo Express “Salsa” with Captain Juan Carlos “Brincos” Lopez at the helm and deckhand Hugo working the cockpit. They released 2 Striped Marlin for our client the Emerson Group visiting Cabo on a corporate trip. Glad to see these folks back in town again this year.

On January 9th. the folks from Dow Agrosciences spent the day on 5 of our great Cabo yachts and the boat of the day is “CISCO” with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez at the helm. They were kept busy all day releasing a Striped Marlin and boating 9 Yellowfin Tuna to 40 lbs. It’s good to see corporate America still rewarding clients and their top employees with reward trips south of the border.

The fishing hasn’t disappointed either with lots of Striped Marlin and “BIG” Yellowfin Tuna.

November 2nd. Gary Maier and his friends spent the day on our 35’ Cabo Express “CISCO” with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez at the helm and deckhand Ricardo working the cockpit. A day that will not soon be forgotten releasing 4 Striped Marlin and boating 6 Dorado. Total fleet production was 2 Blue Marlin, 6 Striped Marlin and 8 Dorado.

November 4th. Again was impressive with all of our charters finding the Striped Marlin. Mr. Byrne and his friends spent the day with Captain Eduardo “Lalo” Cesena on our fast 31’ Cabo Express “PICANTE EXPRESSO”. With the assistance of deckhand Ruben they released 5 Striped Marlin to fight another day. Total fleet production was 11 Striped Marlin, 7 Dorado and 6 Tuna.

November 7th. Proved to produce world class results for Ross Spellman and his friends aboard our great 32’ Cabo Express “PICANTE EXPRESS” with Captain Antonio “Nino” Romero at the controls. In addition to releasing 3 Striped Marlin they also boated 3 Yellowfin Tuna (all over 150 lbs.) Now that’s Cabo Fishing at it’s best. This bunch of guys will be Picante customers for life. Anybody “GOT WASABI” ???

WORLD CLASS FISHING CONTINUES IN CABO !!!

With the summer doldrums continuing to limit the number of boats clearing the Cabo inlet each morning, the catch rate of all species continues to impress those of us that make Cabo our home.

October 4th proved to be the highlight for the week with an estimated 500 lb. Black Marlin released on our 31’ Cabo Express “Picante Expresso” with Captain Gilberto “Bori” Castro at the controls. Our friend from France Mr. Larue made the long trip to our desert paradise here at Lands End and had a fishing experience that he will never forget releasing the big Black along with releasing a Striped Marlin and boating a big Wahoo for dinner. Congrats to the crew and angler.

They released 3 Striped Marlin and a Pacific Sailfish along with boating a Dorado for dinner. Honorable mention goes to our 35’ Cabo Express with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez in the tower and deckhand Ricardo working the pit. They boated 2 Yellowfin Tuna with the weighing 187 lbs. Now that’s a lot of fat filets for Michael Christe, Adam Hatton & Clancy Cottman.

October 9th was the day the Blue Marlin decided to make there presence known. Our boat of the day was our 24’ Shamrock “Picantito II” releasing an estimated 250 lb. Blue Marlin along with boating 13 Dorado for our client Mr. Bardwell & his friendo. Captain Renan Cesena proved again you don’t need a 70’ Yacht to match Blue Marlin here on the Baja Peninsula.

Our 45’ Cabo Express “Picante 45” closes out the week with an impressive catch for Dan Boone and his friends. Captain Ivan Gomez put these guys on 2 Striped Marlin that they released and boated 4 Dorado for the guys to take to a local restaurant.

Marlin and Dorado Fishing are holding Very Strong Just prior to the Cabo Big Game Fishing Tournament Season.

Cabo fishing is producing some excellent catches of Marlin, Dorado and Wahoo. The week started out with one of our regular tournament clients, Don Burts, and team fishing aboard the 45’ Cabo Express, Picante 45, with Captain Emilio and deckhand Pedro. They put the team onto the fish, releasing 3 Striped Marlin and a Pacific Sailfish. They also boated a nice Dorado for dinner. Fleet production for the day was 3 Striped Marlin, 1 Sailfish, 20 Dorado and 2 Yellowfin Tuna.

Ron Shand and his family spent the day of the 28 September onboard the 29’ Blackfin, Picante 29, with Captain Alex and deckhand “Charro.” They also had a world class day releasing a Blue Marlin and 3 Striped Marlin. Additionally, they landed a nice Dorado, which “Charro” made into some ceviche when they got back to the dock.

The week was shaping up pretty good, but dreams do come true and there IS a birthday fairy. And thus the big story for the week was Haley Bauer’s 21st birthday. When Greg and Pam Bauer asked their daughter, Haley, what she wanted for her 21st birthday, she had answered, “I want to go marlin fishing in Cabo San Lucas.” Well, what are parents to do when their daughter puts in her birthday request? Well, the answer was, yes. The family headed on down to Cabo where they booked a trip on Picante’s 35 Cabo, the Picante Dream. Well as it turned out Haley didn’t get all of her wish. They didn’t land any marlin that day. But were Haley, her boyfriend, Dustin, mother and father, Pam and Greg Bauer all disappointed. Nope! They didn’t get their marlin, but landed a couple of nice Dorado and two giant tuna. We are not talking about 100 pounders. They landed a giant of 190 pounds, weighed on Picante’s electronic scale, and the second weighed in at 150 pounds. That’s two whoppers. Sure they weren’t the marlin they were hoping for, but who can argue with over 150 pounds of prime sashimi, sushi, ceviche or just thick tuna steaks. They will be eating well for a long time. Maybe later this winter they will let us know their favorite ways to cook up their fish. So continuing happy birthday for Haley and her family and boyfriend as they will have memories of not just landing big fish, but enjoying the fish that they battled so hard for. Thanks to Captain Pablo “Palin” Cesena and mate Daniel for their assistance in making memories for the Bauer’s to cherish for a long time to come.

On the 1st and 2nd of October, there was a small local tournament in Cabo. Congratulations to the top three yachts, Listo, Salsa and Cisco, all from the Picante fleet. The Perro Caliente, which wasn’t in the tournament put Mr. Fernandez and his family on a Blue Marlin, a Striped Marlin and a Sailfish, along with boating 2 Dorado and a Wahoo. Now that is what Cabo fishing is all about. Total catch for the day was 8 billfish (3 Blues, 4 Stripers and 1 Sailfish), all released along with 40 Dorado and 3 Wahoo.

October 3rd was a day for the Tenini Family. Aboard the 35’ Flybridge Cabo, Picante Dream, they released a Blue Marlin and a Striped Marlin. Captain Pablo and deckhand Daniel put Mr. Tenini on his first Blue Marlin. Congratulations Mr. Tenini

    TOTAL FLEET PRODUCTION

A pretty good week all in all, with the total fleet catch at 8 Blue Marlin, 17 Striped Marlin, 6 Sailfish, 112 Dorado, 4 Yellowfin Tuna, and 8 Wahoo. Now, if the fishing will hold up, we should have a great tournament season. Check back for tournament results.

THE MARLIN BITE CONTINUES….AND LOTS OF DORADO

More Marlin are in the water than previous yrs. and most can’t remember a summer when the bite has been this consistent. Huge schools of “chicken” Dorado are all around the peninsula and schools of “Marlin Candy” size tuna are feeding under schools of porpoise. Bigger Yellowfin Tuna are also being caught with the porpoise, up to 150 lbs. “CABO FISHING” in the summertime does not get much better. We had a day of port closure do to Tropical Storm Georgette that provided much needed rain but only made the fishing better.

September 20th. was a productive day for our fleet. It’s not often I’ll name our boat of the day even with another boat released a Blue Marlin. Today the honors go to our 35’ Cabo Flybridge “Picante Dream” with Captain Pablo “Palin” Cesena at the helm and mate

Daniel working the pit. They released 4 Striped Marlin for our client Mr. Oliver and his friends. These guys could not have been more excited about their day after returning to our office. Fleet production for the day was 1 Blue Marlin, 7 Striped Marlin, 4 Dorado and 1 Wahoo.

September 26th. started with flat calm seas and little wave action so a smooth ride to the grounds was in order. The calm seas did not deter the bite with our best boat of the day being our 35’ Cabo Express “CISCO” with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez at the controls and deckhand Ricardo working the pit. Mr. Addis and his friends had a world class day releasing a Black Marlin estimated at 250 lbs. and a Striped Marlin over 120 lbs. They also boated a nice Dorado for dinner at one of our local restaurants. Fleet production was an amazing 1 Black Marlin, 8 Striped Marlin, 37 Dorado,4 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Wahoo .

THE MARLIN BITE KEEPS OUR CLIENTS SMILING !!!

With clear blue summertime skies, calm seas and light breezes those that made the trip to our sleepy fishing village have enjoyed the big game fishing experiences of their lives. The Blue Marlin bite continues and even the old timers are impressed with the Striped Marlin bite this summer. Lots of bait is holding the fish over the under water sea mounts that surround the peninsula.

September 14th. proved to be a great day for Mr. Duet and his friends aboard our 35’ Cabo Flybridge “Picante Dream” with Captain Pablo “Palin” Cesena at the helm and deckhand Daniel working the cockpit. They released 2 Striped Marlin and boated 4 nice dorado for dinner while in Cabo. Total fleet production for the day was 2 Striped Marlin, 2 Pacific Sailfish, 8 Dorado, 1 Wahoo & 4 Yellowfin Tuna. Now that’s “CABO FISHING” at it’s best.

The newest addition to our fleet, the fast 29’ Blackfin “Picante 29” continues to put our clients on the fish. Mr. Smith and his friends booked the boat with Captain Alex Collins at the controls and deckhand “Charro” working the pit. September 16th. proved productive for the guys releasing 3 Striped Marlin and boating a big Dorado. Fleet production for the day was 4 Striped Marlin, 20 Dorado and 1 Wahoo.

Our good friend Ron Wilson and his friends and family are having an extended stay in Cabo and continue to “FISH CABO SAN LUCAS” on our great 32’ Cabo Express “Picante Express” with our long time Captain Antonio “Nino” Romero at the helm and deckhand Luis working the pit. Another world class day was had by all releasing a Blue Marlin and 2 Striped Marlin along with boating 6 Yellowfin Tuna. BLUE MARLIN EVERYWHERE AND NOW TUNA !!!

With the bluest water you’ve ever seen surrounding the peninsula and water temperatures in the low to mid 80’s the fishing action continues to pick up here in our desert paradise. Over the weekend BIG tuna moved into the area and fish approaching 200 lbs. are in reach of our fleet.

September 6th. proved to be a great day for “TEAM CALIENTE” aboard their great 40’ Cabo Flybridge “Caliente” with Captain Jaime “The Hook” Gonzalez at the controls. They released 2 Blue Marlin and both were over 300 lbs. They also hooked and released

3 Striped Marlin to complete their day on the water. Cabo fishing at it’s best for sure.

On September 7th. the billfish bite continued aboard our fast 35’ Cabo Express “ SALSA” with Captain Juan Carlos “Brincos” Lopez at the helm and deckhand Hugo working the cockpit for Mr. McIlhenny and his friends. They released 1 Blue Marlin,3 Striped Marlin and 1 Pacific Sailfish. WOW !!! Total fleet production for the day was 2 Blue Marlin, 3 Striped Marlin, 1 Pacific Sailfish and 9 Dorado.

On September 8th. we got our first sign that the Yellowfin Tuna had arrived and were in range. Our clients Mr. Sanchez and his family returned from their charter on our great 45’ Cabo Express “Picante 45” with Captain Emilio Arenas at the controls and came into

the office and asked if he could buy 3 coolers for their fish. Being curious about their need for 3 coolers they told us they had boated 2 Yellowfin Tuna over 150 lbs. And a big Dorado over 50 lbs. This was their first of 3 days fishing on the 45’ and they expected to catch more big fish. Does it get any better ??

On September 12th. the TEAM PICANTE folks couldn’t stand it anymore and hopped aboard our 31’ Cabo Express “Picante Expresso” in search of the Tuna bite. The morning started out slow but just before noon a nice size Blue Marlin found it’s way into the pattern and nailed the right side outrigger and put on a great show before being released at boatside after a 20 minute fight. About 20 minutes later the porpoise schools made their arrival and an estimated 180 lb. Bruiser hit the right rigger and the battle wason. The fish was boated 40 minutes later amid cheers and hugs. The lures went back in the water and we found the school again and this time the left rigger was the victim to the big bite of an estimated 150 lb. fish.

ANOTHER BIG WEEK FOR BLUE MARLIN !!!!!

With the tropical weather staying clear of the peninsula our fleet is able to reach the fishing grounds without a problem. Although few
boats are clearing the inlet each morning the catch rate continues to impress.

On September 2nd. our boat of the day was our great 35’ Cabo Flybridge “Picante Dream” with Captain Pablo “Palin” Cesena at the helm and first mate Daniel working the cockpit. Mr. Jansen and his friends had another one of those world class Cabo fishing days releasing a Blue Marlin, a Striped Marlin, and a Pacific Sailfish along with boating 3 Yellowfin Tuna which were cooked up at a local restaurant.

September 4th. proved productive for Mr. Battle and his Family fishing aboard our fast 35’ Cabo Express “Cisco” with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez at the controls and deckhand Ricardo working the cockpit. They were kept busy releasing a Striped Marlin and boating 2 Dorado and 2 Yellowfin Tuna.

September 5th. again showed that the Blue Marlin bite is proving to be the best in years with our friend Tom Crum and his friends from Texas spending the day on “Cisco” with the crew of “Mocho” and deckhand Ricardo working the action end of the team. A world class day was had by the boys from Texas releasing a 300 + lb. Blue Marlin, 2 Striped Marlin and 1 Pacific Sailfish. Now that’s a day they won’t soon forget.

    LOTS OF STRIPED MARLIN!!!!!

Sunshine and great fishing greeted our charter clients this week. The area holding the fish is east of Cabo around the Gordo Banks.
The Striped Marlin rounded out the billfish action along with Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado and occasional Wahoo are coming up in the pattern.

On Aug 24th. Mr. Gale Mettevre and his friends spent the day chasing fish around the Baja peninsula on our 40’ Flybridge “Picante” with Captain David “Fabuloso” Lieras at the helm and deckhand Fernando working the cockpit. They boated 4 Yellowfin Tuna, 1 Wahoo and a nice Sanpper.
Also, Mr Tom McNerve, and his friends on the “Picante 29” again were our boat of the day releasing 2 Striped Marlin, boating 2 Dorado and 4 Yellowfin tuna.
Total fleet production for the day was 2 Striped Marlin, 12 Yellowfin Tuna, 3 Dorado, 1 Wahoo and 1 Snapper.

On Aug 26. Mr Anderas Funke, caught and released 2 striped marlin and 2 sailfish

    WIDE VARIETY OF FISH CAUGHT!!!!

I’m always amazed at the summertime fishing around the Baja peninsula this time of year. Blue, Black and Striped Marlin are regulars in the trolled patterns behind the boats. Larger Yellowfin Tuna and some nice size Dorado were also caught this week. There was even a 15lb. Pargo caught while chumming with sardines on the Iman Bank. You just never know…..

August 18th. was a great day for good customer Brian Sodi and his friends. They fished 3 days and today they released a big Striped Marlin and boated 4 Yellowfin Tuna fishing aboard our 31’ Cabo Express with Captain Eduardo “Lalo” Cesena at the helm and deckhand Ruben working the cockpit.

It’s rare that a boat releases a Blue Marlin and is not our boat of the day, but today was an exception. Taking top honors was our 32’ Cabo Express “Picante Express” with Captain Antonio “Nino” Romero at the controls. This August 19th. Chris Morace and his friends wanted food fish and “Nino” did not disappoint putting them on 10 Yellowfin Tuna to 60 pounds. Anybody got “Wasabi” ¿??

Mid-week schools of Dorado surrounded the Baja Peninsula and all boats caught this great tasting fish. It’s was tough to keep them out of the pattern for those looking for Marlin. Our boat of the day was our legendary 40’ Tolleycraft “Picante” with Captain David Lieras at the helm and deckhand Fernando working the pit. They released a
Striped Marlin and boated 4 big Dorado. The filets were enjoyed by all…..

Sometimes when a plan comes together all it does is put smiles on peoples faces. Our new friend from Frankfort, Germany, Andreas Funke made the long trip to our desert
Paradise in search of his first Marlin. I must admit it took a month of emails and some arm twisting but he was finally convinced. He’s fishing 4 days on our fast 29’ Blackfin
“Picante 29” with Captain Alex Collins at the controls and deckhand “Charro” working the pit. Andreas brought a lot of video gear and we schooled “Charro” on the operation of the stuff. On his second day of fishing Andreas and crew released 3 Striped Marlin which were captured on video. He also boated 10 Yellowfin Tuna. No doubt a “Picante”
    customer for life.

THE BIG FISH CONTINUE TO IMPRESS….

With only a few boats clearing the inlet each morning the number of Big Black and Blue Marlin that are being caught is surprising even to the locals that have been here and fished these waters all their lives.
So lets get right into the details of the weeks catches….

Mr. Booth and his family made a last minute decision to go chasing the fish on their vacation here at Lands End. They booked our 35’ Cabo Express “CISCO” on 8-9-10 with Captain Jose “Mocho” Nunez at the helm and mate Ricardo working the cockpit. As luck would have it an estimated 600 lb. + Black Marlin ate a trolled jig and the battle was on. After an hour and a half battle the big “Black” was boat side for a clean release. In addition they live baited 2 Striped Marlin and boated 2 Yellowfin Tuna for the dinner table. Memories that will last a lifetime…..Cabo fishing at it’s best.

April 11th. proved to be productive for the Mercker family fishing aboard our world class 40’ Cabo Flybridge named “Caliente”. With Jaime “THE HOOK” Gonzalez at the controls and first mate Fernando in the cockpit the families first Blue Marlin ate a trolled jig on an outrigger. A 40 minute battle was all it took to bring this estimated 300 lb. Blue along side the boat and released. They also released a Striped Marlin to cap off the day.

On August 12th the Fibich family chartered our great 45’ Cabo Express “Picante 45” and had a day they will all remember for a long time. Mr. Fibich is a charter boat Captain and faxed a real nice note about the experience from start to finish fishing with “PICANTE”. Thanks for the kind words Todd. They also released a nice Blue Marlin estimated at 340 lb. along with releasing a Striped Marlin. To top off the day they boated 2 Yellowfin Tuna for the dinner table during their stay in Cabo.

Another “Big” Blue Marlin rose into the pattern of our fast 29’Blackfin “Picante 29” with Captain Alex Collins at the controls and deckhand “Charro” working the cockpit. As it always seems to happen Angel Gomez and his buddies made a last minute decision and took away
memories that will last a lifetime. “Charro” live baited the estimated 500 lb. Blue and they had the fish boat side very quickly but it was to green to handle so they played the fish a bit longer for a smooth release. They also released 2 Striped Marlin.

    TOTAL FLEET PRODUCTION

    · 1 Black Marlin
    · 5 Blue Marlin
    · 20 Striped Marlin
    · 6 Dorado
    · 1 Wahoo
    · 13 Yellowfin Tuna
