SHELL BEACH 5 DAY REPORT.....Five great days of trout catching at the beach. SUNDAY David
and his 2 guests came in to fish the evening and again Monday morning and stay in our overnite
accommodations. Headed out at 2 pm to fish the Eloi area and we got into some nice specks
by a small rig and after they put 45 nice trout and 2 reds in the box we headed in to put some
Alabama steaks on the grill and relax with a brue or two. MONDAY we headed out in the morning
and got into the trout right away as the tide was slow falling and the water was clean. We fished
until 10:30am and David said they were ready to call it a morning as they had all the fun they could
stand. We headed in with their 75 trout limit, all caught on H&H Blue Moon cocahoe tails titelined
using a very slow retrieve on both days.
TUESDAY John and his 2 guests joined me and the trout catching picked up where it left off
the day before and the trout started to hit the box as the guys titelined H&H Blue Moon
cocahoe tails and put 55 nice trout in the box before heading to "The Beach" to clean them up
for the ride home.
THURSDAY Dr. Chuck and his 3 quests really got into the trout as they went wild putting 125
trout in the box by noon. Again we titelined H&H Blue Moon Cocahoe tails and the specks couldn't
resist. The best bite was at mid morning when the tide changed and starting rising.
FRIDAY started off a little slow for Eric and his 2 guests but the action was steady with trout
coming about every 10 or so casts but they stuck with it and were rewarded with their 75 trout limit
as they really could fish. Every day the trout were caught titelining artificials with a slow retrieve.
